Vauxhall announces range of product updates for Model Year 2009.5

No-one gets ahead in life by standing still, and Vauxhall - like the other successful brands in the GM UK Fleet portfolio - is fully committed to a policy of continuous product improvement. Reflecting this commitment, we are pleased to advise you of the following changes to our Car line-up for 2009.5 Model Year, order banks for which are now officially open.

New Agila

  • New exterior pearlescent colour Sugar White is now available on Club and Design models
  • Charcoal Graphic interior trim now available on Club models with exterior colours Glacier White and Atlanta Blue
  • Charcoal Graphic interior trim now available on Design models with exterior colour Atlanta Blue

Tigra

  • 1.3CDTi 16v (70PS) engine is now available on Tigra Exclusiv models. This new model is priced at £1,017.86 (OTR) above the existing 1.4i 16v Twinport version
  • Exterior colour Spearmint Silver is deleted

Corsa

  • DualFloor luggage compartment cover is no longer available on Corsa Club models

Please note that all Corsa Club sold orders that were ordered as MY2009, which have not been built yet, will now be built to the new specification.

 
Meriva
  • New 15-inch Structure wheel cover (see image below) is introduced on Active and Design trim levels and the Club Plus Pack option
  • 1.7CDTi 16v engine is no longer available on Meriva Life models

Please note that all Meriva sold orders that have the current structure wheel cover, which have not been built yet, will now be built to the new specification. And all sold orders for the 1.7CDTi 16v (100PS) diesel engine will now be built with the 1.3CDTi 16v (75PS) engine. For further information please contact your GM UK Fleet Sales Manager.

Astra

  • New exterior solid colour Olympic White replaces Glacier White
  • New exterior pearlescent colour Iceberg Blue replaces Royal Blue
  • New exterior metallic colour Sovereign Silver replaces Star Silver

Please note that Olympic White, Iceberg Blue and Sovereign Silver are not available on SRi or SRi with Exterior Pack models, or in conjunction with VXR Styling Pack One

  • Multi-function trip computer now available as standard on Astra Design models
  • Matt chrome-effect replaces satin stone-effect on the centre console of all Astra Expression and Life models
  • Matt chrome-effect replaces satin stone-effect on the centre console, instrument panel mouldings, door mouldings and steering wheel inlay on all Astra Club and Active models
  • Maze chrome-effect replaces matt chrome-effect on the instrument panel and door décor mouldings on all Astra SXi, SRi and SRi XP models. Please note the centre console on these models remains matt chrome-effect
  • Ambient light in doors and illuminated door handles is no longer available
  • Protection Pack Option no longer available on Astra Expression and Life models
  • Active-safety front head restraints introduced as standard on all Astra Elite models
  • Active-safety front head restraints now available as part of Seat Comfort Pack Two and Leather Pack options
  • Front seat back pockets are no longer available on Astra Expression and Life models
Astra ecoFLEX

Reflecting the popularity of our environmentally friendly Astra ecoFLEX models, the 1.7CDTi 16v (110PS) engine (119g/km) is now available on the Active and Active Plus trim specifications for Hatchback and Sport Hatch models. Please refer to our latest Car and Accessory Price Guide (1 December 2008) for pricing information.
 
Following our announcement and initial details of the Astra ecoFLEX range in our e-bulletin dated 4 August 2008, please note that Astra Hatchback and Estate ecoFLEX models no longer get a lowered chassis.
 
All Astra sold orders that were ordered as MY2009 which have not been built yet, will now be built to the new specification and colours, except vehicles in Royal Blue where each customer will be contacted and asked to choose an alternative colour.

Astra TwinTop
 
  • New exterior metallic colour Sovereign Silver replaces Star Silver. Please note that Sovereign Silver is not available on Exclusiv models with Exterior Pack or in conjunction with VXR Styling Pack One
  • Dual tone horn no longer available on Astra TwinTop Air and Sport models
  • Matt chrome-effect replaces satin stone-effect where applicable in the interior décor mouldings on all Astra TwinTop Air and Sport models
  • Ambient light in doors and illuminated door handles is no longer available
All Astra TwinTop sold orders that were ordered as MY2009 which have not been built yet,

will now be built to the new specification and colours.

Zafira

As announced in our e-bulletin on 12 November 2008, the popular 105PS 1.6i 16v Twinport engine is now available on the Design variant of our flexible Zafira model, order banks for which are now officially open.  In light of the VAT change, we would like to update you that the on-the-road price is now just £17,832.33 for this high specification model. Please refer to our latest Car and Accessory Price Guide (1 December 2008) for full pricing information.

Improved fuel economy for Model Year 2009.5

We are pleased to advise you of improved fuel consumption figures and CO2 emissions for a number of our Astra and Zafira models.

The level of improvement in exhaust emissions is particularly significant for your drivers - in some cases it has led to individual engine variants dropping a full Benefit-in-Kind tax band.*1 For Fleet Decision Makers, we are pleased to advise that in one case, the change has improved the vehicle's VED band. Please note that the on-the-road pricing will remain unchanged.
