- The home to the sixth generation Astra
model
Vauxhall's sensational sixth
generation Astra model is set to debut here in the UK later
this year. Just like the previous five generations of Astra
models stretching back over the past 30 years, it will be
built at our highly efficient Ellesmere Port factory in
Cheshire.
Fact is, All New Astra will
be the tenth generation of family car to emerge from the
Ellesmere Port plant since the factory opened way back in
1963.
Keenly anticipated
debut for new five-door model
The British-built Astra is set to
debut as a five-door hatchback at this September's Frankfurt
International Motor Show and will appear in UK showrooms at
the end of the year. Prior to launch, New Astra is already
generating extremely positive feedback, underlying our belief
that it is going to cause a sensation in the UK Fleet market.

Vauxhall has stolen a
march on Ford & VW with a stunner that also makes
sense... placed next to blandly styled Euro boxes such
as Ford Focus & VW Golf, the new Astra is an
absolute work of art... we'd put money on it being a
sure fire hit when it arrives in UK dealerships in
December.
