Voted European Car of the Year for 2009, Insignia continues to win over Fleet Decision Makers and Company Car Drivers with its dynamic design and innovative technology. The UK is already the biggest European market for this important new arrival, with year-to-date sales of some 23,998 vehicles. Despite the current economic malaise, the award-winning Insignia is a resounding success bucking a downward sales trend with over 1,000 Fleet units sold in August alone. In fact, we are delighted to announce that Insignia has now overtaken the likes of Mondeo, A4 and Passat to reach number one in the Upper Medium Segment of the UK Fleet Market confirming its position as a firm favourite on vehicle choice lists.

Insignia Sports Tourer named Auto Express Best Estate Car

The good news for Insignia extends to yet another award. Hot off the press, we are pleased to report that Insignia Sports Tourer has been named Best Estate Car 2009 by Auto Express.

Auto Express cited the Sports Tourer's generous standard equipment, classy interior, 540-litre boot and competitive pricing as the key features that made it more attractive that its rivals earning its place as class champion for this coveted award. In particular, this prestigious publication commented "The Sports Tourer shares the incredible refinement that we have come to expect from Insignia. It rivals compact executive models for motorway calm, and proves entertaining to drive on twisty roads."

Multi-contour Ergonomic Sport Seat receives the "AGR Hallmark"

The new option features improved 8-way adjustment, four-way power lumbar support and ergonomic seat contours, including excellent side support. An adjustable seat extension cushion, extending up to 60 millimeters, also adds superior upper leg support helping relieve pressure on the drivers back, particularly for the taller driver.

No wonder it has been awarded a coveted seal of approval from Aktion Gesunder Rucken/Alliance Against Backache (AGR), an independent panel of German doctors and ergonomic experts. The AGR seal is only awarded to ergonomic products that comply with strict medical requirements; in this case, a scientifically proven new Insignia seat that effectively helps prevent the back pain and tension suffered by some car occupants.

Customers choosing the range topping Elite and SRi trims get the option of the Sienna Perforated Black Leather Sports Seats, providing further enhancement with seat heating and ventilation, bringing the Insignia high-end luxury.
