| 30 November 2009 Chevrolet is pleased to announce product and pricing information for the all-new Chevrolet Spark, order banks for which open 11 December 2009. This all-new modern city car will be the successor to the Matiz and signals a new beginning for Chevrolet in the mini-car segment offering value for money that's as enticing as its vibrant new looks. Set to arrive in Chevrolet retailers from Spring 2010, the all-new Spark offers modern styling, stereo with aux-in and USB socket, as well as practicality, low fuel consumption and low emissions. And with prices starting at just £6,945 on-the-road, Spark is also an economical proposition for fleet operator needs. Pricing Information Effective 1 January 2010, Spark on-the-road recommended retail prices are as follows:
Performance, fuel economy and emissions: With CO2 emissions under
the all-important 120g/km threshold, Spark models can reduce your
carbon footprint as well as generating significant savings for your
business in terms of fuel costs and VED. From 1 April 2010, good
news is Spark models are eligible for the new Band C zero first year
rate. Drivers too will be pleased to see low Benefit-in-Kind tax for
the all-new Spark. In fact, a 20% tax payer driving the entry level
model will only face a BiK bill of £11.42 per
month!*1
Specification detail
Additional Spark + Trim Specification (over Spark): Models in Spark + trim, also available with the 1.0-litre engine, come with air conditioning, electric front windows and central locking, along with a USB compatible four-speaker stereo.
Additional Spark LS Trim Specification (over Spark +): The Spark LS, which is expected to be the most popular trim level, comes with a choice of the 1.0-litre or an 81PS 1.2-litre engine, and adds remote central locking, silver-effect trim detailing, a driver's sunglasses holder, 14-inch wheels, body-colour door handles and mirrors, a chrome-effect grille surround, front fog lights and a body-colour rear spoiler.
Additional Spark LS + Pack Specification (over Spark LS): For £500 more than the 1.2 LS, customers can add a Plus Pack - the LS + gets smart alloy wheels, electrically-operated windows front and rear, a trip computer, heated electrically-adjustable door mirrors, roof rails and steering wheel-mounted audio controls.
Additional Spark LT Trim Specification (over Spark LS +): The range-topping LT, which comes with the 1.2-litre engine only, comes with a level of equipment you would normally expect of a much larger - and more expensive - car, including 15-inch alloys, climate control, interior detailing to match the exterior (depending on colour), an exterior body kit and a six-speaker stereo.
Options across the range include metallic paint, rear parking sensors and Electronic Stability Control (ESC).
