Chevrolet UK announces revised pricing

15 December 2009

At GM UK Fleet, we are committed to keeping you up-to-date with regard to vehicle pricing. As part of this commitment, we would like to advise you that the on-the-road recommended retail price (RRP) of Chevrolet models will rise with effect 1 January 2010. Please note changes to the on-the-road prices are composed of a base vehicle price increase (selected models only) and a VAT increase of 2.5% to make it up to the standard rate of 17.5%.

Please find summarised below the average list price (excluding VAT) increases for selected models in the Chevrolet range. Please refer to the full Price Guide, effective 1 January 2010, for specific pricing information as increases on individual models may vary.

  • Matiz models increase by an average of £200
  • Aveo models increase by an average of £200
  • Cruze models increase by an average of £250

The following models will not increase in list price, but will see a revised on-the-road price following the VAT increase to 17.5%:

  • Lacetti
  • Epica
  • Captiva

The changes detailed above will all take effect from 00.01hrs on 1 January 2010.

An electronic copy of the full Range Price Guide, reflecting these price re-alignments will be available to download from the GM UK Fleet Hub from 1 January 2010. In the meantime, please click on the link below to view a summary Price Guide in PDF format.

As a valued customer, we are informing you in advance of the increases coming into effect in order that you may benefit from this early notification. In particular, if you order your vehicles prior to midnight on 31 December 2009, we undertake to supply them at the current price in line with our price protection policy.*1

This protection does not apply to price adjustments caused by Government changes in the rate of VAT (changing to 17.5% on 1 January 2010), Vehicle Excise Duty or DVLA New Vehicle First Registration Fee or by any other applicable legislation or regulations.

In addition to the vehicle price changes, the cost of metallic paint on Matiz and Aveo models will also increase as per the table below. All other option prices remain unchanged at the new VAT rate.

Models Current Price

New Price
(1 Jan 2010)
