* From April 2010, the emissions-based tax thresholds imposed on company cars will be brought down 5g/km per tax band. This means that the 15% starting point for the Benefit-in-Kind tax band system will drop 5g/km to 121-134g/km - and the following year the 15% band will apply to vehicles with CO2 emissions in the 121-129g/km band. These changes have been incorporated in the calculations shown. However, the Basic Rate and Higher Rate for tax payers is shown at the rates prevailing in 2010 (20% and 40%).
